サイクロン支援、新たに２２億円＝高村外相、ミャンマー外相との会談で表明
【シンガポール２２日時事】シンガポール訪問中の高村正彦外相は２２日、ミャンマーのニャン・ウィン外相と会談し、同国を襲ったサイクロン災害に対し、新たに２１００万ドル（約２２億３０００万円）の支援を行う考えを表明した。これに対し、ニャン・ウィン外相は「深く感謝したい」と述べた。
　高村外相は「（民主化運動指導者の）アウン・サン・スー・チーさんの自宅軟禁が延長されたことを憂慮している」と伝えた。また、昨年９月に同国の反政府デモを取材中に射殺された長井健司さんの遺留品返還と事件の真相究明を要求。ニャン・ウィン外相は「できるだけ協力を行う」と述べるにとどめた。

　22日9時40分から約30分間、シンガポールにおいて日ミャンマー外相会談が行われたところ概要以下のとおり。（当方同席：渥美南部アジア部長、兒玉外務報道官、下川大臣秘書官、垂南東アジア第一課長他、先方同席：チョウ・ティン政務局長代行、ニャン・リンASEAN担当大使（次期駐インドネシア大使）他）

5. 高村大臣より、長井健司氏死亡事件に関し、長井氏の遺留品の返還及び事件の真相究明につき引き続きニャン・ウイン外相の協力を求めたい旨述べ、これに対しニャン・ウイン外相より、担当は内務省であるが、引き続き所掌の範囲内でできる限りの協力をしたいと述べた。
