【11月13日】ﾋﾞﾙﾏ民主化活動家らが禁固65年

◆ミャンマーが一斉判決、活動家２３人に禁固６５年

【バンコク＝柴田直治】ミャンマー（ビルマ）の軍事政権が、武力弾圧した昨年９月のデモの参加者らに相次いで有罪判決を出している。１１日には活動家２３人にそれぞれ禁固６５年が、１０日には政府を批判したブロガーに同２０年半が言い渡された。国連のガンバリ事務総長特別顧問が１１月中に来訪する予定で、その前に未決囚に対し、法的に罪を確定させてしまう意向があるとみられる。
　ＡＦＰ通信によると、ヤンゴン近郊のインセイン刑務所内の法廷で１１日に禁固６５年が言い渡された２３人は、８８年の民主化運動の中心だった元学生活動家たちとされ、昨年９月のデモにもかかわり拘束されていた。
　そのほかにも、反軍政活動家のスー・スー・ヌエイさんには１１日に禁固１２年半、詩人のソー・ウェイさんにも１０日に同２年が言い渡された。
　タイ北西部メソトにある反軍政団体「政治犯支援協会」によると、ミャンマー各地に収容されている政治犯は先月末で２１５７人で、昨年９月の弾圧以降、千人以上も増えた。先月末から僧侶や弁護士も含め、１００人以上に禁固刑の判決が出されている。

◆ミャンマー調整官にグリーン氏＝大統領が指名－米
　【ワシントン１０日時事】ブッシュ米大統領は１０日、ビルマ（ミャンマー）担当特別代表・政策調整官（大使級）として、知日派を代表するマイケル・グリーン元国家安全保障会議（ＮＳＣ）アジア上級部長を指名する方針を明らかにした。
　グリーン氏は、日本の対ミャンマー政策に失望を表明したこともあり、ミャンマー民主化へ向けた制裁強化などをめぐって、対日圧力が強まる局面も予想される。（2008/11/11-10:30）
