テレビのバラエティー番組でその独特の語り口がいま大注目の戦場カメラマン・渡部陽一。彼ほど戦場へと通い詰めるジャーナリストをほかに知らない。しかし一方で彼はなぜ、バラエティー番組に出演するのだろうか。その裏には渡部の真実を伝えることへの誇りと使命感、さらにマスメディアでは絶対に語ることのできない戦場の真実と危機に瀕するジャーナリズムの現実があった。聞き手は、渡部の友人でもあるAPF通信社代表の山路徹。渡部と山路がジャーナリズムのいまをタブーなく論じる。またジャーナリストを志す若者向けに渡部流の戦場の歩き方と取材手法に迫る。
