参加した在日ビルマ人のタン・スエさんは、「総選挙を国民は認めない。なぜなら、総選挙は、軍事政権のための選挙であり、国民のための選挙ではないからだ」と話した。
ビルマの総選挙管理委員会は20日、アウン・サン・ス・チーさんを有権者名簿から除外した。
これにより、スー・チーさんは総選挙に立候補できないだけでなく、投票もできないことになった。
