在日ビルマ人らは、民主化運動指導者のスーチー氏の写真や「総選挙は中止しろ」などと書かれたプラカードを手に、同日午後2時ころから集まり始め、同大使館前の歩道を埋め尽くす約300人が集合した。
参加者らは約2時間、大使館前の歩道に立ち並び、最後の5分間で「ビルマ軍事政権は総選挙をやめろ！」「日本政府はビルマの総選挙を認めるな！」などとシュプレヒコールを上げた。
