本日、ビルマ・パートナーシップはKestrel Media の協力のもと、なぜビルマの人々が間近に迫った総選挙は真の民主化をもたらすものではないと考えているのかをまとめた、17分間の映像を発表しました。
この映像「”This is Not Democracy” これは民主主義ではない（仮題）」は、今回のビルマ総選挙の歴史的背景をひもとき、軍事政権が「民主化へのロードマップ」と称してすすめるものは、彼ら権力者たちが、単に民間人へ衣替えをし、自らの権力をゆるぎないものにするためのものでしかないということを、わかりやすくまとめています。
「私たちは裏切られ、再び裏切られようとしている」と国際ビルマ僧侶組織（IBMO）のアシンソパカ師は言います。映像には、カレン女性機構（KWO）のノートゥーポゥ氏、1990年の総選挙で当選した国民民主連盟（NLD）の議員ウィンライン氏、元政治囚、そしてこれまでのビルマ国内の映像が、最新映像とともに収められています。

The demand for consumer credit is still poor and there is no improvement in the housing sector.
